Sunderland BID

CMS welcomes the Sunderland BID as its latest client CMS has been appointed to work alongside Sunderland BID in the run up to its renewal, late 2018.

Sunderland BID was established in 2014 and has undergone substantial regeneration seen with building redevelopment in the city centre. Additionally, Sunderland is currently shortlisted for UK City of Culture 2021, aspiring for national recognition of its well established arts, culture and long-standing heritage.

CMS will begin their investigatory research in December, working closely with the BID team in exploring the local business needs of current and likely levy payers across sectors.

Sharon Appleby, Head of Business Operations said:

“We are looking forward to working with CMS on the renewal in Sunderland. There is a lot of work to be done before the renewal date and with CMS’s help I feel confident that we will be in good shape by the time we get there”.

Paul Clement, CEO of CMS commented:

"Sunderland is an ambitious, historical city and over the years the BID has done an excellent job of raising the awareness of what the city has to offer. CMS is looking forward to supporting the BID through its renewal and exploring the wider opportunities for the business community for another five years."
